AI-Powered IT Support Specialist Intern

At SOPHiA GENETICS, we're revolutionizing the future of AI-assisted medicine, and we're looking for a talented AI-Powered IT Support Specialist Intern to join our team.

This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to optimizing and automating our internal service desk portal, enhancing the IT support experience across the company. You'll work closely with our IT team to ensure smooth operations, improve user experience, and develop innovative IT solutions that streamline workflows within SOPHiA GENETICS.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monitoring and managing the internal helpdesk, responding to IT requests from employees, and reporting key metrics.
  • Support the configuration of role-based access control (RBAC), user accounts, and access permissions.
  • Contribute to Information Security & Network Operations, helping maintain secure and efficient IT systems.
  • Support asset management, MDM (JAMF) configuration, and automation of asset management processes.
  • Assist with systems administration (Azure Cloud) and automation tasks, including scripting innovative IT solutions.
  • Utilize project tracking and issue management software, such as Jira Cloud, to manage and report on IT support activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with system administration is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Apple environments.
  • Some knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash/Shell, Python) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Learning to automate tasks through scripting.
