Commodity Trading Analyst

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and comment on monthly trading reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships between trading profit and loss (P&L) and accounting gross margin for trading activities.
  • Provide input on requests from group controlling for net working capital (NWC) movements related to trading activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of the year-end estimate and support the finance business partner in its preparation.
  • Prepare the budget on the cost side with the business and on the gross margin side with the finance business partner.
  • Perform various ad-hoc analyses to support finance business partners, group controlling, and business management in finding solutions to finance-related topics.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent in business administration with a focus on finance and controlling.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an energy commodity trading environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and reporting systems (SAP).
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Independent and proactive working style.
  • Strong communication skills and a winning personality, with fluent English required and any other languages a plus.
