Middle Office Business Analyst

Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Middle Office team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing internal and external transformation and development projects related to Middle Office.

  • Identify areas for process improvements and streamline workflows to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide methodological input for development and change activities in terms of PnL and positions.
  • Act as a service provider for portfolio owners, creating reports with validation of PnL and positions.
  • Monitor portfolio structures and its processes behind, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support other units, as well as a controlling function ensuring that directives are met by the Front.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement system enhancements and implementations.
  • Develop and enhance reports in terms of PnL, Positions and Cashflows, mainly on PowerBI.
Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance, engineering, data science or a similar field. Your experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy or finance business, with international scope, will be highly valued.

  • University degree in finance, engineering, data science or similar.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy or finance business, with international scope.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the value chain in energy sector or commodity market, incl. related financial products.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • Solid coding skills a plus (Python, Power BI, VBA and data analysis).
  • Inter-cultural experience.
  • Proficient in English, French as an advantage.
