Why This Role Matters As a Senior Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that our procurement strategies are efficient, compliant, and value-driven. Your work will directly support the development of next-generation cardiovascular devices that improve patient outcomes worldwide. What You’ll Do - Lead and execute purchasing and supply management activities for all indirect categories at our Zurich Manufacturing Site. - Develop and implement cost-effective and compliant procurement strategies that create value and support business goals. - Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier consolidation. - Drive supplier relationships through selection, negotiation, and contract execution for high-value projects. - Partner with global colleagues to share best practices and explore synergies across Abbott divisions. - Ensure quality and compliance by working closely with cross-functional teams. - Contribute to innovation by continuously improving source-to-pay processes and leveraging digital tools. Upon success, future opportunities await managing major direct suppliers for medical device components. What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred. - 8+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, engineering, or project management, including 3–5 years in purchasing/sourcing. - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships. - Fluent in English (C1 level minimum); German preferred. - Proficiency in procurement systems and digital sourcing tools. - Familiarity with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements is an advantage. - Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
