Complementing TEAM’s established expertise in marketing UEFA’s club competitions, the Business Development team is now leading the way in developing new commercial opportunities for the TEAM group of companies and targeting prospective partners in the sports and entertainment sectors. Our work includes market analysis, setting up processes, building and leveraging strong networks, and exploring new technologies and trends in ways that enhance the TEAM group’s collective business proposition.

**The role**:
As a Business Development Strategy Manager you will help drive the continued evolution and execution of TEAM’s business development strategy. You will represent TEAM’s new business initiative and will be working with both current and prospective clients. You will provide insight, benchmarking, due diligence and analysis on strategic business development projects across the sports, esports, and entertainment sectors. You will report to one of the Commercial Strategy Leads.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
**Business Development**
- _ _Market Research: _Undertake extensive market analysis (media, sponsorship, trends, consumption habits, disruptive technologies) to understand competitive dynamics and impacts on rights
- _ Client Targets: _Research prospects, strategise an appropriate proposal, and build relationships across agencies and key clients alongside the rest of the Business Development team
- _ Proposal Development: _Prepare compelling proposals or business cases efficiently and thoroughly

**Project Execution**
- _ Project Management: _Lead and support on various Business Development projects across development, sales, and delivery mandates. You will be expected to work across all disciplines (with appropriate support provided by your colleagues) as well manage partner agencies (e.g. sponsorship sales, digital, etc.)
- _ Deliverable Development:_ Ensure timely progress toward milestones and successful delivery of projects for which you lead or support.
- _Account Management:_ Support the broader Business Development team in managing client relationships and, in time, start to own these relationships yourself

**Internal Strategy**
- _ Strategy Development:_ Support on specific Business Development strategy elements (e.g. M&A strategy, P&L management, office expansion)
- _Operations:_ Contribute to the overall smooth operations of internal team work e.g. CRM management, pricing strategy, target markets, etc.

Ideally you have previous experience with strategy consultancy, or similar, working across multiple clients and project disciplines. A background in the sports or entertainment industry is an advantage, as is your strong interest in the business of these industries (key players, macro trends, revenue streams, business models, commercial partnership approaches). It is important that you can efficiently manage projects and your time and are capable of balancing multiple tasks and prioritising them accordingly. Likewise, you can communicate effectively and present your ideas with ease, understanding how to build compelling decks and develop insights through research.
