November 19, 2020, ABB announced the planned divestment of its Turbocharging Division. Turbocharging is a successful and profitable Division in a mature market and has been for long a highly self-reliant business within ABB. ABB has decided to take this step, acknowledging that for Turbocharging to realize its full potential going forward, a new setup is required. As the next step, alternative ownership options, including a spin-off to the Swiss stock market, will be assessed, considering value for customers, ABB and the future of the turbocharging business. As a Reporting and Consolidation Expert you will deliver the highest standards of Turbocharging’s consolidation and USGAAP reporting. Your mission will be to consolidate monthly/quarterly/annual financial results and prepare external reporting in accordance with USGAAP standards. Ensure that the financial statements for external publishing, management and external auditors are complete and correct. Verify that all reporting units report their financial statements correctly, perform the necessary consolidation bookings and top-level adjustments in line with the Accounting & Reporting Guidelines and USGAAP directives. This position is based in Baden, Switzerland.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Owner of the Turbocharging's multi-currency consolidation process, owner of the tool for consolidation and relevant instructions, and procedures
- Ensure and drive timely, adequate, and reliable monthly financial closing process for Turbocharging
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual preparation of financial statements under USGAAP and preparation of the quarterly external reports in compliance with USGAAP including but not limited to income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
- Ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting and the interim and annual high-quality reports to the Turbocharging Management
- Monitor and ensure that the reporting units report the transactions correctly and accurately. Analyze the cash flow, currency translations adjustments, profit on inventories, equity, overall intra-Group reporting, goodwill, acquisitions and divestments related reporting and other consolidation items
- Ensure that the appropriate internal controls framework over the consolidation and reporting process are in place and that they are properly and timely performed
Ensure all inter-company balances are reconciled in time and escalate matter in case of differences, ensure that the intercompany mismatches are within agreed limits
- Implement new USGAAP requirements in the area of responsibility, initiate and develop the needed changes in the reporting package, the consolidation system and update the related Group reporting instructions accordingly. Make sure that the newly implemented changes are followed

**Your background**:

- Accounting professional with 5+ years of experiences in accounting (including USGAAP treatments and/or with accounting systems), and capable of analyzing complex processes and issues
- Working experience in regional/global consolidation and reporting
- Strong understanding of financial accounting processes, able to think through E2E accounting process
- Ability to work under time pressure during month-end closures and continuously retain ˜an eye" for the details
- Good knowledge of SAP and consolidation systems (preferably LucaNet).
- Excellent knowledge in Excel
- Fluent in English (any other language will be considered a plus)
- Autonomous in organizing own responsibilities and work
- Hands on and pro-active team player
