The Centre engages leaders from the public and private sectors to deliver new insights and multistakeholder collaborations at the global, regional and national levels. Through four interrelated programs the CENMAT drive impact and value for constituents in business, government and civil society.

Why we are recruiting

The Transitioning Industrial Clusters initiative was launched at COP26 by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with Accenture and EPRI to support industrial clusters in their journey toward net zero. Industrial clusters - geographic regions where industrial companies are concentrated - account for 15%-20% of global CO2 emissions. They represent a diverse range of hard-to-abate industries, making them an attractive target for emissions reduction efforts. The initiative convenes and supports industrial clusters, composed of private industrials and public stakeholders, to reduce emissions, create jobs, and develop new technologies by sharing leading practices in policy, financing, technology, and partnerships.

The initiative is an integral part of the Transforming Industrial Ecosystem Program.

We are hiring a Program Coordinator to support the

Transitioning Industrial Clusters initiative

to be as effective and as efficient as possible.

The initiative’s main objective is to catalyse the decarbonization of industrial clusters through supporting existing, co-located facilities in defining their significant emissions reduction goals and the path to achieve it. In addition, the initiative also engages individual corporates in the cluster areas and supports creation of new industrial clusters from the first partners’ convening to the formal establishment of a collaboration.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The Program Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Transitioning Industrial Clusters initiative.

Externally, the work will involve interactions with a broad range of stakeholders and partner companies in the industry value chain.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Program, Projects and Events Support
- Salesforce event set up (ERT requests, Admission and Registration Categories, Publishing onto TopLink).
- Salesforce coding of participants.
- Supporting platform teams maintain their communities on Salesforce Providing ad-hoc digital support.
- Participants Management during event Technical Support during events.

2. Team Coordination
- Taking notes during team meetings.
- Organizing meeting schedules, and maintaining internal documents (CENMAT events calendar, event leads, one-year master plan, organizational charts, distribution lists etc.).
- Supporting the onboarding process for new colleagues/fellows.
- Providing ad-hoc support for Manager and Head of Program (e.g. Offsites, presentations, administrative support, travel etc.).
- Providing ad-hoc support for program and initiative teams
- Acting as liaison between the program, CENMAT and Forum to help implement new internal processes.
- Participate in monthly Coordinator meetings.

3. Digital Media

- Scheduling published Agenda articles and overall energy-related articles into Twitter Content Calendar/Buffer Platform.
- Amplifying any requested content from the CENMAT Team (e.g. Specific tweet about a launch of a report, or event, campaign etc.).
- Periodically, creating Analytics (Page views) report.
- Collecting Monthly Twitter statistics.

Preferred requirements and experience
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience in coordination and support in a demanding professional environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and manage expectations of senior executives and their staff with confidence.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously Responsible, independent and self-driven.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, project and time management skills, and possess high attention to detail.
- Self-starting, independent thinker who thrives as a flexible team player.
