BARINGS has further ambitious plans for the expansion of the Swiss French speaking market and, to this end, is seeking to recruit a high calibre “Sales Director" who will further develop and drive the business activities in this assigned region.

The Sales Director will have the following remit:

- Further development of the French speaking market in Switzerland. The person takes ownership for their client segment, predominantly the tier one and two accounts and will collaborate and report directly to Volker Samonigg, Head DACH, Luxembourg to establish the overall Swiss strategy. This includes expanding and deepening relationships with existing clients as well as developing new business opportunities.
- Gathering assets from new and existing clients, as well as managing the relationship with those clients in all aspects.
- To promote the company as a strong investment brand.
- Owning and meeting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.
- Executing against a strategic plan for Switzerland to achieve sales targets and expand customer base in addition to actively contribute to the wider European business plan.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

Core Knowledge
- Key knowledge of the Swiss institutional
- and wealth market, this particularly in the French speaking area of Switzerland.
- A thorough knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment in Switzerland.
- Knowledge of Investment markets and relevant products in Switzerland and for the Swiss market.
- A good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory provisions associated with the role.

Core Skills
- Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding sales targets within assigned client franchises.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Excellent internal and external communications skills.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and improve personal relationships with a diverse range of people/personalities.
- Languages - French and English are essential. German and Italian are desirable.

- Results-oriented and focused on accomplishments rather than activity.
- The ability to establish new client relationships as well as the relationship management skills to work productively with existing clients.
- Act as a credible representative of BARINGS at the highest levels of client interaction as well as be able to articulate complex investment processes to a diverse client audience.

Close collaboration with client portfolio managers, client services managers and other teams.

- Readiness to travel within Europe to build relationships within BARINGS, availability for meetings with colleagues and external events.
- Take part in the projects across borders and help drive topics and bring new perspectives to the discussion.
