**JOB PURPOSE**:
Single Caterpillar point of contact at key mine site for Caterpillar, dealer and customer. Improve the performance of Caterpillar Mining Products at key mine sites. Work in partnership with the Dealer Site Manager to support all Caterpillar business at the site. Develop, implement, and manage product support processes and equipment management processes at the mine site. Manage Caterpillar Inc. business risk as it relates to after-sale commercial & performance support from Caterpillar at the site. Co-Manage mine site focus and support from Caterpillar with Commercial Manager(s) and Product Support Manager(s). Should refer to site or sites as this position can bridge many operations depending on the work assigned.

Machine Pop: Large production fleet and support equipment
Performance Improvement: Level 1 + dealer working a basic recovery plan including PPM; key site/s with underperforming fleet / models that could impact future business / reputation
Warranty & Goodwill: 5-7%
Equipment Mgmt KPIs: Level 1 + develops recovery plans with dealer/customer and accountable for sustainable or improved product performance at that site
CI & Alliance Support and/or Non-Alliance Support: Develops and receives credit with customer of $5-15 million in CI
Post Sale TCO: Level 1 + determines post sale TCO at mine site and applies principles in all work activity
Personnel: Indirect Leadership for dealer personnel, sales and tech and reps

**JOB DUTIES**:
Positions reporting indirectly to this position include: Technical Consultants, Service Representatives, Equipment Management Consultants, Customer Continuous Improvement consultants, Applications Engineers, and Service Engineers. While this is an individual contributor role, it serves a heavy coordination role and must be strong in managing the matrix and influencing others.

Serves as single Caterpillar point of contact at key mine sites. Partner with the Dealer Site Manager to bring Caterpillar, dealer and customer resources together to improve the physical and mechanical availability and productive performance of Cat mining equipment operated at key mine sites. Co-Develop, implement, and manage product support processes and equipment management processes at site with the dealer and customer.

Maintain key site performance metrics including equipment availability, parts availability metrics, operating cost per ton, uptime, etc. Identify trends and potential issues, draw on the matrix organization through Customer Services and Product Support to partner with the dealer to identify root cause and implement corrective action. Responsible for leading site performance improvements based on data, trends, etc. and for Caterpillar and the dealer on share of wallet.

Manage Caterpillar Business Risk related to commercial activity with the site. Partner closely with the Mining Region Manager, Commercial Manager and Sales Reps on commercial opportunity at the site. This position is jointly responsible for account recovery strategy and a Performance Improvement strategy plan execution with Commercial Manager(s). Develop, prioritize and implement strategies to address customer needs as well as ensuring dealer servicing and support practices align with recovery strategy. Consult with Caterpillar Global Mining leaders, dealers and districts on business plan and opportunities, as well as site priorities. Coordinate Caterpillar resources in support site strategy.

This position acts as a consultant to dealer and customer operations and maintenance managers as well as executive management advising on strategic direction for strategic direction for proper equipment selection, product problem management and equipment management activities. Coordinates Product Problem Resolution at the mine site. Serves as a dealer and customer consultant at the mine site.

Must have the ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences at dealer and customer operational level. Must have strong communication skills and the understanding and knowledge to communicate to the right people and parties at the right level when needed. Must have ability & knowledge to understand mining cost per ton factors. Good human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit. Must have the ability to work and set priorities for self and for the work team without day-to-day direct supervision.

Internal customers include various contacts in a portion of Caterpillar Surface Mining & Technology Regions and Product Groups. External contacts include various Caterpillar dealers and mining companies who purchase services offered by Caterpillar and supply services to mining customers. The posit
