**Assistant Scientist, Organic Chemistry**

**Location**:Satigny, Geneva, Switzerland

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performing multistep syntheses in the field of Fragrance Chemistry
- Isolating/purifying final products using methods such as extraction, distillation, crystallization, and flash column chromatography for perfumery evaluations
- Monitoring reaction processes and analysing final products using GC, MS and NMR
- Recording detailed experimental data and observations in an electronic laboratory notebook.
- Use of Scifinder and Reaxys to formulate retro-synthetic routes towards novel fragrance ingredients
- Meeting high environmental and safety standards during day-to-day work.

**You bring**:

- MSc in Synthetic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with practical experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
- 6-12 months relevant industrial internship experience in the area of organic chemistry is a plus.
- Passion for chemical innovation.
- Capacity to work independently, in an organized & safe laboratory environment.
- Curiosity, open-mindedness with excellent communication skills and team-player spirit.
- Creativity, imagination, determination to lead projects from A to Z
- Fluency in English (C1), proficiency in French (C2)
