Join our New Ingredients Discovery team at DSM-Firmenich for a post-doctoral stay in the New Ingredients Discovery group, where you'll play a pivotal role in uncovering and delivering the future of sustainable perfumery ingredients. In this dynamic environment, you'll collaborate with leading scientists in cutting-edge research and development fields. Your primary objective will be to analyze data and leverage your chemical expertise to identify and synthesize novel perfumery ingredients from the vast olfactive chemical space, utilizing a diverse range of chemical tools and technologies. Effective communication and collaboration with key scientific stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesize advanced building blocks and/or new ingredients for fragrance creations.
- Record all data in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) with interpretation & present research results in departmental seminars as well as in written reports.
- Meet high environmental and safety standards.
You bring:
- PhD in Chemistry with practical experiences in synthetic organic chemistry and a passion for chemical innovation.
- Postdoctorial or industrial experience (six months - two years) in field of organic chemistry is a plus.
- Capacity to work independently and to efficiently use data to convert ideas into new molecules.
- Curious, open-minded with excellent communication skills and team-player spirit.
- Fluency in English, proficiency in French is a plus.
