This position requires technical expertise in the field of biotechnology and, particularly, in microbiology, biochemistry/molecular biology and analytical techniques for small molecules.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform laboratory experiments in biochemistry, molecular biology and biocatalysis using conventional and high-throughput tools.
- Perform small molecule analyses, in particular using GC-MS.
- Work in collaboration with colleagues in an interdisciplinary research team.
- Record all data in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) with interpretation of results.
- Present research results in departmental seminars as well as in written reports.

**You bring**:

- ** Ph. D. (for Scientist) or M. Sc. (for Assistant Scientist) **in biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field with practical experience in the production of small molecules, for example terpenes.
- Experience in protein engineering techniques or microbial strain engineering is desired.
- Hands-on experience of basic organic chemistry, biocatalysis or analytical techniques for small molecules is an asset.
- Passion for science and innovation.
- Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Curious, open-minded with excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English (C1), proficiency in French is a plus.
