**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Set strategic direction, lead and continually develop a highly skilled team of credit staff. Provide credit management expertise to regional team and country locations on retail credit to minimize probability of credit losses, while maintaining effective processes to maximize sales and profitability.
- Provide direct and in-direct leadership and management to direct reports including: ongoing mentoring and career development, performance management, goal setting, training and problem solving and contribute to the organization & strategic discussions on credit analysis and methodology.
- Direct the education of staff on credit management, train staff on financing programs and provide instruction on loan servicing and collection skills.
- Ensure that CHS businesses retail segments in assigned region are administering policies and procedures as directed.
- Oversee the development of crop loan input loan and extended credit programs using interior and exterior services, to maximize sales while appropriately managing risk. Mitigate risk by reviewing CHS Capital and other loan guarantees.
- Ensure team members monitor accounts and direct collection efforts throughout regions.
- Analyze credit exposure on accounts, recommend/determine reserves, and best practices.
- Assist regional staff with difficult recoveries, facilitate meetings with troubled accounts, represent CHS at mediations, depositions, or court hearings.; Work with attorneys to negotiate outcomes.
- Stay informed on events that affect our business as well as our customer's business decisions such as changes in grain prices, input prices, weather, politics, etc.
- Travel to country locations to work with staff to analyze credit and accounts receivable; develop relationships with the personnel and patrons at country locations, meet with patrons to attempt to resolve issues.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications (required)**:
- Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar.
- English verbal & written.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, MS office tools, and ideally SAP for future implementation.
**Additional Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Trade Risk Management within large Global Businesses.
- Experience with detailed credit analysis and reporting.
- Deep Understanding of Trade Products and Documentation.
- International exposure, good understanding.
- Time management, problem solving and attention to details.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Skilled at managing the annual Performance Management process with a view to delivering strategic feedback.
