**In short**:
As an Item Master Data Lead, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date item master data within our organization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, overseeing data governance processes, and ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance with established standards. Your expertise in data management, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail will contribute to efficient operations and regulatory compliance.

**Your Mission**:
Lead a team of item master data specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management support. Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of item master data in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform regular audits and reviews of item master data to identify and resolve any inconsistencies, inaccuracies, or duplication issues. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal guidelines related to item master data management. Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance item master data management processes, developing and implementing best practices. Collaborate with various teams, including procurement, inventory management, and supply chain, to gather data requirements and ensure data accuracy and consistency. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyze item master data, identify trends, and generate insights to support decision-making processes. Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users on item master data management processes, standards, and tools. Maintain accurate documentation of item master data management processes, procedures, and guidelines. Establish and enforce data governance principles, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security throughout the organization.

**Your story**:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, supply chain management, or data management. Proven experience (5+ years) in item master data management, preferably in a lead or supervisory role. Strong understanding of data management principles, practices, and tools. Proficient in using data management systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data analysis tools. Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy with a focus on maintaining data integrity. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and insights. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to item master data management (e.g., GS1) is preferred. Leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
