**Participate in developing a cohesive Investment Advisory team for International Private Banking. Strengthen the investment solutions team in Switzerland, actively participate and contribute to the Private Bank’s Investment Committees and increase the support to the sales force. Ensure high service levels, while also focusing on the growth of the Portfolio Advisory platform.**:
**The Investment Advisor combines the technical skills of portfolio managers with strong communication and interpersonal skills. This individual must have a deep understanding of financial services, a flexibility of approach, and a capacity to represent and defend a diverse range of investment solutions across asset classes. The role requires a multi-product focus that incorporates equities, fixed income, foreign exchange products, structured products, alternative investments, and more.**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**- **Understand clients’ investment profiles, current investment objectives and partner with Bankers to develop an investment plan and prepare suitable and appropriate portfolio recommendations.. Ability to communicate these investment strategies to all levels of clients and prospects is key. Advise clients on strategic asset allocation and specific tactical solutions.**:

- **Ensure the excellence and quality of service to clients in order to maintain high levels of client satisfaction. Participate in prospecting initiatives with bankers to attract new AUM under the Advisory platform and increase strategic product penetration. Maintain visibility with management, sales force and clients defending investment and products policy/strategy.**:

- **Take an active role in communicating the Bank’s Investment Strategy through proactive participation in the Bank’s Asset Allocation as well as Product working groups.**:

- **Raise efficiency and margins through disciplined management, segmentation, and use of proprietary information technology business tools. To contribute to the evaluation, control and mitigation of risks within the Advisory Department.**:

- **Ensure integrity of Santander’s sales process and compliance with all Santander and regulatory policies. Be aware of the operational risks associated with the role and act in a manner that seeks to mitigate these risks.**:
**Profile**:
**Formal / Academic Education**:

- **Bachelor degree required; MBA preferred.**:

- **CFA certification preferable but not required.**:
**Experience and skills**:

- **7 - 10 years of experience in similar or related position.**:

- **Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus**:

- **In-depth understanding of Private Banking for offshore UK clients**:

- **CWMA Certification**:

- **Combination of buy and sell-side experience preferred.**:

- **Understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction as it applies to ultra-high-net-worth clients.**:

- **U **nderstanding of the UK tax landscape to be a definite advantage**:

- **Very good knowledge of Bloomberg and Excel.**:

- **Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.**:

- **Analytical skills. Ability to understand and interpret major market trends.**:

- **Creativity, with a sense of initiative. Client-orientation and problem solving.**:

- **Team spirit and flexibility.**:
