The Global Head Patient Engagement Pharma represents Patient Engagement (PE) at the C&E LT as well as the US PEC/OLT and is responsible for prioritization of the PE focus disease areas and ensures key stakeholder management (internal and external). The incumbent serves on the Patient Engagement Leadership Team.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

- PE Strategy shaping for Pharma(including R&D) at the Global and US Level
- 5 Decision Point Framework (PE activities along the product lifecycle - most critical foundation for the PE Strategy) Implementation, ensuring highest quality and customer satisfaction
- PE Representation at senior Pharma Leadership Teams
- Regulatory and Compliance alignment
- Management and allocation of Pharma TA pool resources according to business and 5 DP priorities
- Oversees the Medical Affairs of PE Pillar and ensures a One Novartis approach

**Minimum requirements**
- At least 15 years of experience in leadership positions in multinationals/ 10 years of experience in PE combined with experience in development or commercial functions, 10 years of c-suite relationship / stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to drive PE strategy as proven change agent
- Thought leader in embedding PE strategy across key divisions (R&D, Medical, Business)
- Profound product, R&D and commercial expertise in Pharma/Oncology
- Expert in developing and executing PE strategies combined with development or commercial strategies
- Ability to influence key external stakeholders and health care systems constituencies, anticipation and adaptation of external trends and embedding them into innovative research methodologies
- Proven ability to oversee and design early commercial strategies (incl. pre-and post launch growth strategies) in US and Global
- Proven track record in leading multicultural, x-functional matrix teams role modelling the Novartis Values & Behaviors
- Deep organizational understanding of highly complex multinationals, the medicines lifecycle, pharma industry, patient community and health care systems (regulatory agencies, payers, healthcare trends); deep understanding of business priorities and organizational model: how decisions get made
