The ED, Patient Engagement Hematology, drives the PE strategy implementation at Franchise level and ensures the appropriate implementation of the PE Strategy (5 Decision Points) and resourcing of the 5 DP implementation as well as execution process. Represents PE at the Pharma/Oncology Franchise level and ensures key stakeholder management, two-way communication and alignment with regulatory as well as other key functions inside and outside Novartis. Ensures high level quality of legal and compliance standards.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and drive an integrated global to local US PE strategy for a specific TA across the medicine’s life cycle, including development and franchise units
- Embed PE into the co-creation of the respective Disease Area strategies as member of the cross-functional Disease Area leadership teams (e.g. FLT, DULT)
- Ensure PE disease area strategies are co-created with countries
- Ensure PE is part of the US launches
- Develop and maintain relationship with the TA patient communities
- Lead allocated Pharma TA pool resources team ensuring high quality PE activity execution

**Minimum requirements**
- 10 years of experience in Multinationals/10 PA years of experience in PE with combined experience between PE / stakeholder management and development / or commercial roles in pharma industry or related
- Experience in leading external interactions with senior representatives of key healthcare stakeholders
- Ability to drive PE strategy as proven change agent
- Deep understanding how patient needs drive functional strategies along the entire lifecycle and how patient and other stakeholder needs shape development and launch strategies.
- Deep understanding R&D process and how to influence development strategies and programs by integrating insights on patient needs into disease development strategy and deep understanding of the connectivity to commercial strategy in Pharma/Oncology
- Proven ability to oversee and design early commercial strategies (incl. pre-and post launch growth strategies) in US and Global
- Deep understanding of the medicines lifecycle, health care systems, pharma industry and patient community and the interconnectivity of the HC systems stakeholders
- High level strategic partnering skills with proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels internal and external and produce high quality PE plans
- Able to represent Novartis in strategic senior level internally and externally
- Deep understanding of the US market and country launch readiness strategy plans
- Highly effective in matrix structures to create alignment, manage conflict resolution and drive change
