The Director, Emerging Capabilities will be responsible for enabling data products and use cases as defined in Quantum Leap workstreams as well as developing a technology roadmap to support both QL goals as well as GPS enterprise initiatives. Further, the director will enable an accessible user experience (UX) for both BIA users and data scientists as well as front end business users. The director will also implement and champion innovative solutions to business problems that have enterprise scale and further the advancement of our “One BIA” strategy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for GPS BIA data enablement of quantum leap data products. Collaborates with both business representatives and IT partners to validate data products.
- Develops and implements innovative solutions for QL use cases as well as additional analytics for the GPS-BIA organization and broader BIA org in order to deliver more medicines to more patients, faster.
- Develops guidelines and BIA user experience for data marketplace, enabling appropriate visibility and accessibility to data as well as the creation and maintenance of new data.
- Serves as data steward and SME for BIA-GPS datasets and champions the data governance process, ensuring that critical datasets are industrialized in core systems and databases.
- Core member of COE of analytics and data enablement
- Sets best practices for the use of technologies and capabilities across the BIA organization for the purpose of broad applicability, sustainability and scalability.
- Oversees the creation of a standard UX/UI design framework to ensure consistency and user-centric design across all of GPS BIA.Develops and implements platforms and analytical solutions

**Requirements**:
- Masters or PhD in analytical / IT related field(i.e. predictive sciences, statistics, engineering, computer science) & 7+ years experience
- Expertise in the development of IT infrastructure highly desirable
- Experience in UX/UI interfaces
- Expertise with a full stack of analytical tools required:
- Database architecture: SAP HANA, SQL, Oracle, Graphical databases
- Analytics platforms: R, Amazon SageMaker, Domino, GitHub
- Programming: Python, C#, JavaScript, etc
- Visualization: Tableau, Spotfire, etc
- Expertise in 1-2 analytics platforms and programming languages required
- Conceptualizes business problems and develops frameworks around analytical methods for teams
- Experienced project manager
The starting compensation for this job in Devens, MA is a range from $178,000-$224,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
