UpLink is the open innovation platform of the World Economic Forum to crowdsource innovations which can accelerate the delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our effort focuses on building bridges within the innovation ecosystem to support entrepreneurs for growth and scale.

Heading into its third year of operations, UpLink has an established user-base of more than 56,000 registered members, has launched 40 innovation challenges with nearly 5,000 solutions submitted to the platform.

We are a start-up initiative of the Forum, operate with openness to new ideas, and heavily rely on cross-team collaborations. We are a fun and driven group of professionals coming from different walks of life and collectively, we work towards realising our vision of building a global digital ecosystem for innovation to move the needle for a positive change for people and planet.

UpLink’s existence and continued success has been enabled through strong collaborations with our founding partners, Salesforce and Deloitte as well as funders within the Uplink partner eco-system.

We are currently seeking a Lead, Donor Relations who will be responsible for managing a grant portfolio and support retention and reporting responsibilities to our funders. UpLink’s funder ecosystem consists of some of the largest private sector organisations, philanthropic organisations and governments who financially support our work and vision through grant contributions.

Reporting Lines and Interactions

The Partner Lead will sit within the Growth, Partnerships, and Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) team at UpLink with a direct reporting line to the Head of Growth, Partnerships and IMM. This role will collaborate closely with various UpLink workstreams including Venture Sourcing & Impact, Digital Media and marketing, and other relevant initiative teams across the Forum.

As part of this role, the Partner Lead will also have the responsibility of collaborating internally with relevant colleagues and externally with senior corporate executives to draft and execute on year-round engagement plans and project deliverables.

Main responsibilities
- Partner/Funder Management_- Act as the primary point of contact to manage and engage trusted, long-term relationships with partners and funders of UpLink- Oversee and manage the funder transition process from the point that collaboration agreements are signed to onboarding with the delivery teams over the duration of the project- Management of the overall partner and funder engagement with UpLink, including managing and tracking of how funds are used throughout the lifecycle of the project- Collaborate with relevant internal teams to design and deliver comprehensive, impact and action-driven partnership engagements adhering to our obligations to the funder- See through the full transition of potential funders by conducting regular analysis of the quality and success of the partnerships- Consult regularly with high level executives in partner companies to ensure that they derive the highest value from their partnerships
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)_- Ensure the Forum’s CRM database is kept up to date including logging opportunities, outlining and inputting partner/funder interaction reports, engagement plans, unpaid and at-risk notes
- Grant management and reporting_- Act as the lead responsible and liaison for reporting to funders according to the KPIs and impact metrics defined for each project- Collaborate with the IMM, Direct Funding, legal and finance teams at the Forum to ensure implementation of universal and institutional processes and requirements to manage the funds in place.- Monitor and track any restrictions or conditionalities that have been contractually agreed on with funders and ensure compliance to them through the lifecycle of the project- Monitor progress against KPIs ensuring a consistent and coordinated approach to value delivery within assigned portfolio- Maintain strong year on year renewal and retention rates- Collaborate with delivery teams to develop event, interim and end of project completion reports- Ability to collaborate internally to engage and retain partners within the assigned portfolio, key indicators include quality of engagement plans, partner renewal and retention rates, as well as feedback from constituents and colleagues- Ability to successfully project manage the funds and work across the teams to ensure compliance is in place with the Fourm’s direct funding current policies and procedures- Ability to maintain the Forum’s CRM database updated for all current and
