is a multi-stakeholder platform to connect, empower and serve the forest restoration community, in support of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. 1t.org harnesses the convening power of the World Economic Forum to: (1) mobilize
- quality corporate ambition and engagement
, (2) accelerate and scale forest conservation, restoration and reforestation commitments
- in priority regions
, and (3) Empower a new generation of
- ecopreneurs

1t.org is part of the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Nature and Climate. It is one of the key initiatives of the Nature pillar, which is focused on the transition towards a nature-positive economy. 1t.org works closely with a variety of
- partners and communities
, including UpLink, the World Economic Forum’s digital innovation platform to support start-ups and ecopreneurs focused on addressing the SDGs.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The Head of 1t.org will report to the leadership of the Nature Pillar within the Centre for Nature and Climate, manage the 1t.org team and collaborate closely with colleagues across the Nature Pillar, the Centre and the Forum.

**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the 1t.org secretariat and its related activities, ensuring its objectives and expected deliverables are met on time, according to the project’s Theory of Change, with the right impact and within budget;-
- Provide strategic insight and guidance on 1t.org’s workstreams, activities and priority areas across regional platforms.-
- Manage and provide leadership to the 1t.org team, across the following areas:- Corporate engagement, including growth of the- 1t.org Corporate Alliance
- and- pledging process
- , and providing meaningful engagement opportunities for Forum members and Partners to engage on the restoration agenda-
- 1t.org regional platforms in the- US
- , the- Sahel
- ,- India
- , and- China
- , as well as additional regional development opportunities-
- Implementation of- 1t.org UpLink Trillion Trees
- challenges, in collaboration with the UpLink team-
- Implementation of 1t.org’s communication strategy, in collaboration with the Nature Pillar communications Lead and the Forum’s Public Engagement team-
- Manage donor relationships, fundraising renewals and additional fundraising opportunities for 1t.org-
- Represent 1t.org at various events and speaking opportunities, internally and externally.-
- Excellent strategic thinking and program management skills to deliver impact for 1t.org-
- Strong partnership and relationship management skills to grow the 1t.org movementEmpathetic leader who inspires and supports other team members to perform to the best of their ability.Preferred requirements and experience:
- At least 15 years of relevant experience leading and growing nature/climate initiatives, including developing partnerships and achieving impact with complex multi-stakeholder programsOutstanding organization, project and team management skills.-
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by unstructured problems and high levels of information ambiguity-
- Skilled communicator and facilitator who is able to bridge different world views with emotional intelligence and integrity-
- Servant-leadership attitude, mission-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial and strategic skills with high standards of professionalism and integrity and strong international network-
- Master-level university education in a relevant field, inter-disciplinary education a plus-
