Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Portfolio and Program Management to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on supplying life-changing remedies for various illnesses.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this position, you will be accountable for cross-portfolio tools, analysis and data-driven acumens and prediction from an organisation and enterprise perspective, briefings and advice.
- Uphold portfolio and project management regulations, standards and tools when needed.
- Lead projects from drug discovery through preparing for pivotal trials, facilitating effective progression as agreed with pertinent decision-makers and governance committees.
- Guarantee brilliant portfolio management by placing individual decisions into the context of the wider pipeline.
- Offer acumens into the portfolio for senior leaders to lead both near and long-term planning.
- You will observe pharma trends and competitive acumens, bring discoveries from any other organisations, prediction, and futurism, recognition and implications of trends and pattern, guide and lag indicators.
- Form and uphold project teams, observing team dynamics, form a good rapport and trust, acknowledging concerns, encouraging open conversations within the teams.
- Any other assigned duties.

**Requirements**:

- Educated to a degree level in a scientific discipline.
- Familiarity working within a pharma or biotech drug development organisation is desirable.
- Previous involvement in preclinical, clinical regulatory, chemistry manufacturing controls, etc.
- At least 1-5 years of experience in a portfolio and/or project management role assisting cross-functional teams in a scientific setting or both preferably.
- Competent in portfolio and project management strategies and agile techniques, business savviness and management science.
- Acquaintance within the implementation of strategy tactics such as systems thinking, decision making & decision quality, critical thinking, strategic foresight, strategic tools such as SWOT, TOWS, PESTLE, BlueOcean etc.
- Able to translate method into action.
- Uphold expertise on industry trends, competition, and present/developing technologies.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Willing to travel for business needs up to 10% of the time.
