**Job Summary**:
As a key member of our global human resources team, the Global Total Rewards Director will lead our total rewards strategy, and drive programs to ensure we are competitively positioned across markets in 60+ countries. In alignment with our core values, this critical leadership role is responsible for leading the Total Rewards COE end to end, including the design, development, implementation and administration of the company’s compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Leads Total Rewards COE (Center of Excellence) responsible for total rewards operating cycle, compensation, benefits & wellness programs, and comp structures in 60+ countries
- Oversees delivery of Total Rewards programs and other complex global projects such as the annual compensation process, market competitiveness & salary range development, & bonus program administration & development in alignment with global objectives
- Partners closely with CHRO, region HR teams, and executive leaders to drive a consistent and aligned global total rewards strategy and framework. Provides key stakeholders with a market leading total reward experience and level of service.
- Interfaces with CEO and corporate leadership team on critical total rewards initiatives, including comp budget planning, executive compensation programs, etc. At times, may be involved in presenting to company’s Board of Directors on relevant total rewards topics.
- Serves as a senior leader across the business by effectively organizing project teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering timely results
- Ensures market competitiveness and recommends cost-effective methods to enhance talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement through the development of effective total rewards. Provide market intelligence and competitive market benchmarking.
- Continues to benchmark, align and improve global benefits footprint through strategic direction, process improvement, cost management, and identifying appropriate opportunities for change.
- Provides broad governance and leadership of retirement programs, including fiduciary oversight of our retirement plans in the US, Europe, and Asia, and interfaces with providers, brokers, auditors, and directly with GE retirement benefits team on control group provisions.
- Interfaces closely with GE Gas Power total rewards leader and broader team on programs and processes, benchmarking, and budget alignment
- Leverages technology to enhance total rewards reporting, communications and process simplification
- Ensures that accurate estimates, forecasts, and calculations of expenditures in compensation align with budget planning and tracking
- Provides ad-hoc analysis and uses data to drive solutions to complex global problems
- Partners with local HR teams to ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial or Labor Relations, Psychology, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences, or related field preferred, or equivalent of 5 or more years of on-the-job experience in HR, compensation, benefits, or total rewards, in addition to the following:
- 10 or more years of experience in total rewards design & strategy, salary benchmarking, job evaluation processes, incentive plans, benefits and reward programs within a global matrixed organization
- Global compensation and benefits experience required
**Desired Characteristics**:
- MBA or Master’s degree in HR, Industrial or Labor Relations, Psychology, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences, or related field preferred.
- 15 or more years of experience in total rewards design & strategy, salary benchmarking, job evaluation processes, incentive plans, benefits and reward programs within a global matrixed organization
- Global compensation and benefits experience within a multinational, industrial company
- Executive compensation experience preferred, including experience in design, managing, and administering ST and LT incentive & equity programs.
- Ability to build strong relationships. Trusted and credible.
- Strong ability to analyze trends, and provide insights from internal and external data
- Strong experience leading and implementing projects and programs across global organizations
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills. Strong executive presence & HR judgement and instincts.
- Prior experience in legal entity set up & country total rewards program implementations
- Strong leadership skills & listening skills. Able to engage, listen to, and welcome employees as part of cultural development and leadership engagement.
- Change leader; able to confront and handle ambiguity, and steady under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of power generation field services operations & business models desirable. Awareness of GE power generation products and services desirable.
