Associate Director, Coba Operations and System

General Description:
The Associate Director, COBA Operations and System Support (Global Medical Affairs) will serve as the point of contact for the technical operational needs of the Medical Affairs teams across Europe and support systems, tools, and other operational initiatives. The incumbent will work with the Field Medical teams globally in support of their operational needs and with the European Medical Affairs Excellence team to map out and address business needs in the countries.
Reports To: Senior Director, Business Operations (Commercial and Med Affairs)
Education Required: Bachelors / Master’s in Science or related field.
Essential Functions of the job:
- Provide support and serve as point of contact between the EU Medical Affairs teams and COBA.
- Engage with Medical Affairs partners across countries and regions to ensure consistency across systems, tools, and processes managed by the Commercial Operations and Business Analytics team and to ensure compliance with country-specific regulations.
- Support, as needed with each country individually, the dynamic Medical KOLs Identification and Refresh process, working with Medical Affairs leadership to establish the criteria, cadence and frequency of refresh, and data exchange to MDM and CRM teams.
- Maintain process for ensuring CRM and ZTT change requests from Medical Affairs teams are implemented per country requirements.
- Manage licenses, trainings, access, and usage to the Monocl KOL insights platform
- Manage strategic partnership with Medical Affairs Leadership for key initiatives.
- Partner with CRM team to drive adoption and usage of CRM and collaborate with Medical Affairs Excellence to address gaps and needs of the customer-facing teams under Medical Affairs.
- Understand business priorities across functional areas within GMA and provide COBA data/systems/tools roadmap for European Medical Affairs teams.
- Provide training, technical, and operational support for field medical tools (CRM, analytics & insights platforms).
- Help gather all relevant data in Central Data Warehouse to provide holistic reporting solution.
- Serve as point for medical field effectiveness (targeting, sizing, alignment, ZTT, etc.) between local teams and COBA.
- Help operationalize digital initiatives for GMA teams.
- Support commercial operations tools (CRM, Guru, Monocl, Navigator, etc.) trainings for the EU Medical Affairs teams.
- Align with internal commercial operations teams globally in support of Global Medical Affairs.
- Support EU Medical Affairs Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Support the technical needs of the materials database on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical or biotech company
- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline preferred
- Strong leadership, accountability, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experience in oncology or rare disease is a plus
