**Job Summary**:
The **Managing Director** will lead the effort to secure **securities lending agreements** with private banks in key regions, ensuring financial compliance and laying the foundation for team expansion. This role requires deep experience in securities lending, relationship-building with private banks, and a strong focus on financial compliance. Compensation will be based on **success fees** for securing lending agreements and **performance bonuses** for driving results.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Securities Lending Acquisition**: Lead efforts to identify, negotiate, and secure securities lending agreements with private banks and financial institutions across Europe, Asia, and China.
- **Relationship Management**: Build and maintain long-term relationships with private banking partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration and growth in securities lending opportunities.
- **Compliance & Regulatory Oversight**: Ensure full compliance with international and local financial regulations, including AML/KYC, MiFID II (Europe), Basel III, and other relevant regulations.
- **Performance-Driven**: Focus on achieving key performance metrics, with success fees earned for securing securities lending deals and bonuses tied to performance and business expansion.
- **Team Leadership & Growth**: As the business scales, recruit, develop, and manage a team of professionals to support the expansion of securities lending activities and compliance functions.
- **Market Research & Strategy**: Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the securities lending space, ensuring that the firm stays competitive and compliant.
- **Cross-Regional Collaboration**: Work with global teams and report to senior leadership on securities lending performance, strategy alignment, and team expansion plans.

**Compliance and Regulatory Focus**:

- **Finance Compliance**: Ensure all securities lending activities comply with local and international regulations, such as **MiFID II**, **Basel III**, **GDPR**, **AML**, **FATCA**, and other applicable laws.
- **Risk Management**: Implement robust compliance and risk management strategies to mitigate legal, operational, and market risks in securities lending transactions.
- **AML/KYC**: Oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes, ensuring compliance with global standards and protecting the company from regulatory risks.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: 10+ years of experience in **securities lending**, private banking, or capital markets, with a strong track record of securing lending agreements and building banking relationships.
- **Leadership**: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with experience in business development, client relationship management, and compliance oversight.
- **Private Banking Expertise**: Strong existing relationships with private banks and a deep understanding of how to secure securities lending agreements.
- **Compliance Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of international financial regulations and compliance requirements related to securities lending.
- **Market Knowledge**: Expertise in securities lending markets across Europe, Asia, and China, with the ability to navigate complex financial environments and regulatory landscapes.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- **Languages**: Fluency in English is required; additional language skills relevant to the region (e.g., Mandarin, German, French) are a plus.
