**Ridgeline Discovery**, a Versant Ventures Discovery Engine, creates and operates Versant-financed innovative biotech companies in partnership with entrepreneurs, industry, and leading academics across Europe. We are looking for a pro-active, hands-on individual to join our team and contribute to the continued growth and success of our laboratory operations.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

As Laboratory Support Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our laboratories operate efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and participating in routine laboratory housekeeping and restocking, including cleaning and maintenance of shared equipment
- Leading waste management; handling and disposing of liquid and solid waste from both BSL1 and BSL2 laboratories
- Supporting of laboratory operations, including managing incoming orders and receipting of goods, regularly checking shared stock, and managing standard orders where needed
- Assistingthe development and implementation of ordering and stock inventory systems
- Maintaining and coordinating the routine servicing, maintenance, and repair work of laboratory equipment
- Supporting the lab team with shipments (contact transporters, preparing the documentation)
- Deputize as local health & safety officer within the laboratories, identifying and controlling risks associated with chemical and biological materials and participating in ongoing training and assessment of health and safety in the work areas
- Communicating effectively with the lab manager and scientific staff to provide operational support and share updates in internal meetings
- Supporting additional laboratory-related tasks as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A degree in a related field, or a laboratory apprenticeship from a major pharmaceutical company
- Practical experience of working in biotech or industry laboratories
- Demonstrable experience of supporting laboratory operations, or in a similar role coordinating lab maintenance and supporting research activities
- A strong understanding of the operational requirements for cell therapy company
- Knowledge of local regulations and laboratory health and safety
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage constructively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software tools
- Good proficiency in both oral and written English
- Being multi-lingual and able to speak with local vendors would be an advantage
- Part time positions of 60-80% FTE would be considered
