We are looking to recruit a highly motivated laboratory technician for an third-party funded project led by Marc van Oostrum in the laboratory of Peter Scheiffele.
**Your position**
In an interdisciplinary project we will investigate the molecular trajectories of synaptic proteomes in neurodegenerative disease models (see van Oostrum et. al. 2023 Cell). The project integrates molecular neurobiology with systems neuroscience and combines state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based proteomics technologies with fluorescence activated sorting and in vivo labelling of defined synaptic populations. We are looking for a highly motivated laboratory technician that is excited to develop new technologies in order to drive biology.
**Your profile**
Degree in biology (Bachelor's/Master's) or training as a lab assistant/technician with a strong interest in interdisciplinary neurobiology across scales from molecules to circuits. The project involves stereotactic surgery, genome editing methods and primary cell culture. Experience in any of these domains is benefical. The position is funded and salary is according to institutional guidelines
