Laboratory Technician - Coatings (m/f/d)
Role Overview:
To support our R&D Team within our Technology Department of the Advanced Materials division, Huntsman is looking for a Laboratory Technician – Coatings, based in our Advanced Materials Regional Headquarter in Basel (Switzerland). You will work in an international and dynamic environment.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Laboratory Technician you will:
- Use the laboratory equipment and instruments relevant for preparation, application, processing, and testing of coatings.
- Conduct tasks as defined by chemist and write up technical reports detailing procedures and results.
- Generate accurate, repeatable experimental results by required deadlines.
- Make suggestions for improvements to technology/lab processes relevant to coatings.
- Ensure raw materials and disposable supplies are available in time, quality, and quantity.
- Ensure full compliance with quality management – TQM.
- Ensure that all activities are in line with Environment, Health and Safety principles, Ethics & Compliance, and International Trade Compliance guidelines.
Requirements:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution-focused approach.
- Degree in chemical technology, applied chemistry, or related field.
- Previous laboratory experience. Experience in Electronics and PCBT processing is a plus.
- Knowledge in coating technology and application processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good adaptability skills and continuous improvement mindset.
- Oral and written English is required.
