**Job Description**:

- Laboratory Technician (M/F)
- (ref:LT/JCG01)
- To support our Research and Development department within the Textile Effects Division we are looking for a Laboratory Technician. This is a permanent and full-time position based in Basel. Working as part of a dynamic and well-established team, you will report directly to the Group Research Leader.
- As Laboratory Technician you will:

- Synthesize intermediates and dyes from small to large (kilogram) scale
- Perform analyses and interpret the results
- Document laboratory work procedures in a methodical manner and generate technical reports based on the experimental results
- Maintain stocks of laboratory materials, equipment, and chemicals
- Ensure that all activities are in line with Environment, Health and Safety principles, Ethics & Compliance, and International Trade Compliance guidelines
- Requirements:

- Qualification: University or Institute of Technology degree in chemistry, or chemical engineering. Apprenticeship as Laboratory Technician Chemistry will be considered
- Experience in the chemical industry, ideally in the field of organic synthesis. Experience in reactive dye chemistry is a plus
- Proven knowledge of laboratory work including instrumental analysis (HPLC, spectrometry, titration)
- Very good observation skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team in a challenging environment
- Sense of responsibility, flexibility, and enthusiasm
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English, further language skills would be an advantage
- IT literate (primarily Microsoft Word and Excel)
