**Director of International Sales - Retail (Switzerland)**

**Position Summary**:
The Director of International Sales - Retail role will focus on instilling best-in-class retail sales and retail
marketing practices to build the LifeStraw® brand in Europe and Asia. This position will require strong
knowledge and experience in consumer retail sales, distribution, and the active lifestyle segment,
combined with excitement for a socially conscious brand.
The job location will be the Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland and the position is reporting directly
to the VP of Global Sales.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Manage and drive LifeStraw retail sales in Europe and Asia through an established distribution

network. Focus countries include Germany, France, UK, Spain, and Australia.
- Coordinate and participate in activities including sales meetings, account planning sessions, and

trade shows with distribution network.
- Work collaboratively with LifeStraw marketing team to bring the latest channel marketing tactics

to bear with the aim of growing sales, raising the awareness and equity of LifeStraw, as well as
the retail giveback program.
- Research and analyze trends, purchasing habits and the characteristics of consumers, their

feedback on the Company’s and competitor’s products.
- Actively analyze the competitive landscape, consumer/retail feedback and adjust distribution

strategy to meet changes in the market.
- Liaise with customers, provide customer support and follow up.
- Ensure a consistent brand image throughout all internal and external promotional materials, ads,

campaigns, and events.
- Identify and develop new areas of revenue opportunity across all product categories. Home and

Travel will have increasing focus.
- Develop rolling financial and supply chain forecasts for each region and communicate to

operations and management. Working hand in hand with Operations team on fulfilling customer
direct import orders.
- Identify and track sales performance metrics; monitor sales growth and provide regular reports

on sales progress towards sales goals by region/territory to VP of Global Sales.
- Work collaboratively with Sr Director of Global Sales to develop and manage annual sales

operating budget; work closely with operations to establish clear reporting, forecasting, and
planning tools.
- Manage pricing within each region based off unique factors such as exchange rates, competition

and consumer demographics.
- Negotiate, manage, and renew active distribution and retailer contracts. Finding new distribution

partners where we do not have active accounts.
- Identify and execute opportunities for functional process improvement.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with new and existing stakeholders (internal & external).

- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally 30-40% of the time.

**Profiles**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in retail sales, Home/Kitchen industry preferred
- 3+ years of experience working with big box retailers (ex: Target, Walmart, etc)
- 3+ years of experience executing on-shelf displays and managing store tests
- Proven performance in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with large data sets
- Ability to work on high-level strategy and tactical execution simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
