**To establish and execute reimbursement strategies and tactical plans that develop our therapies, grow patient access, increase market share, successfully launch our innovations, support improved profitability, and achieve Medtronic growth targets for the NEUROMODULATION operating unit in Western Europe.**

**A Day in the Life**
- **Develops and implements reimbursement strategies and programs to obtain coverage, coding and payment from payer/providers.**:
- **Provides reimbursement-related advice to product development teams, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical and business leaders.**:
- **Identifies payer opportunities and issues and implements programs to resolve/decrease barriers to entry for the company's products or therapies.**:
- **Works closely with Health Economics and Outcomes Research staff to evaluate the economic impact of the use of therapies/products on payers, including the government.**:
- **May create training and deliver education programs to sales force, physicians, home care agencies, case managers, hospital CFO's, medical directors, billing personnel, and pharmacists in clinics and hospitals.**:
- **Creates a cross functional network inside and outside of Medtronic. Gathers the need of reimbursement improvements by actively partnering inside and outside the company; fosters active communication of the emerging issues and opportunities with the internal and external customers; employs imagination and ability to analyse problems in order to propose optimal solutions.
**Must-Have**:
- **Bachelor or master’s in health economics and/or Health Policy, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Engineering /Science or similar**:
- **8-10 years in reimbursement and market access strategy, preferably in a global or European health industry environment**:
- **Strong medical device expertise**:
- **Facilitates/supports country specific adaptation and implementation of reimbursement strategies/tactics. Builds and maintains relationships to country and regional Neuromodulation reimbursement teams, as well as the WE Commercial Team and Global Reimbursement Teams.**:
- **Excellent English written & verbal communication skills**:
- **Provides input to establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets.**:
- **Recommends new policies and procedures that affect program management.**

- **Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.**:
- **Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.**
