In this role, you will be responsible for being a leader in service of the largest DCS installed base in the world. Leverage experience, aptitude, and strategic thinking to deliver the now and the future of service that supports our customers better than our competitors and drives long-term customer loyalty. The Global Service Division Director leads the global service organization to achieve profitable growth through strategy development and execution. Energy Industries include Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Power Generation, and Refining. Energy Industries Service is focused on supporting its installed base customers with best-in-class services and offerings throughout their lifecycle. These offerings include digital, service contracts, evolution/upgrades, field service, parts, and more. ABB has been the #1 supplier of DCS for 20+ years, thus creating a large global installed base of automation systems. Safety and Integrity are non-negotiable requirements for the position. Key measures for the role are Orders, Margin, Growth, and Market Penetration.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop a global strategy for delivering customer loyalty, profitable growth, and competitive differentiation. Work with business leaders across the business to set targets and key performance indicators by geography and portfolio.
- Work closely with Strategy and M&A function for the development of Strategy/PPM. Lead implementation of Strategy/PPM.
- Define go-to-market strategy and approach for EN service portfolio in close collaboration with regional businesses and indirect management teams. Identify partnering opportunities to further the division service value to our customers. Determine the best go-to-market channel based on geography, industry, and offering and support key pursuits.
- Expand the use of eCommerce. Manage a portfolio of global service offerings to address customer needs and business goals. Heavy emphasis on evolving to Service to digital-based solutions. Partner with Product Management, Pricing, and Marketing functions to monitor and adjust implementation plans based on market intelligence, product performance, and the competitive environment
- Work with business leaders across the Division to set measurable targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) by geography and portfolio. Determine the priorities important for success and drive tangible and measurable improvements for the Division. Provide sales and technical training as needed to support sales and delivery of offerings.
- Product or Service development, management, and marketing (R&D, lifecycle, enhancements, productization, marketing materials, sales tool kits, etc). Drive innovation of technology, services, processes, methodologies, and data usage to empower the organization to understand their impact on strategic goals and amplify best practices in the business units. Examples could include on-the-spot quoting tools, installed base management, etc.
- Gathers feedback from local delivery units on needs, customer feedback, and best practices to identify innovative ideas for productization and globalization. Lead service transition toward digital with increased focus on software including growing SaaS business.
- Lead global service organization of >3500 employees to execute service strategy. Lead Service teams for both the Division and Business Area. Business Area has leadership in place. Embrace, enact, promote, and propagate through the organization the ABB core values, making them relevant).
- Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Establish and maintain succession planning for key positions.

**Your background**:

- Degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or Business Management. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in large OEM-oriented service business with at least 5 years of global experience, with an emphasis on transforming businesses during macroeconomic conditions and a proven ability to define and build highly engaged, professional teams.
- P&L experience is required. Experience in industrial automation is preferred.
- Experience in digital sales and service in an industrial environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in developing effective strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and commercial skills, with the ability to influence others, drive results/change, and implement projects/processes.
