**What you’ll do**

As the International Head of Market Access, you will drive the design of Market Access approaches in the International region in alignment with the global team, and facilitating the implementation. You are part of the International Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, International and China Country President.

Locations: Zug, Shanghai, Singapore or AZ International office locations
- Guide and partner with the in-market Market Access Directors to develop a robust country market access plan in alignment with the global team, and drive performance to ensure we realise our bold ambition
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to maximise access to patients in various market archetypes
- Facilitate implementation of price approvals and reimbursement across International markets
- Define and build the above and in-market Market Access structure and organisation to meet the needs of the evolving healthcare ecosystem
- Support the capability building in the key markets and sharing of best practices across the region
- Lead multi-stakeholder relationships across various geographies and close collaborations with global, regional and local teams
- Continuously monitor the Market Access environment and analyse competitor’s strategies in the field
- Support upcoming launches by providing adequate and development
- Provide hands on and strategic leadership in driving an actionable framework for Market Access strategy in the local markets
- Ensure compliance with AZ Policies and Standards with special emphasis on Code of Conduct, Ethical Interaction Policy and Standards, Privacy (Patient Group interactions) and Procurement (engagement of third parties)
**Essential for the role**
- You have a graduate level degree in sciences or business preferably with a post-graduate degree
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Oncology or Biopharmaceutical Business Unit
- Solid understanding of commercialisation and access to market, especially in emerging markets
- Able to build strategic partnering with internal and external stakeholders
- You have had people management experience with the agility to lead and communicate across geographical and cultural boundaries in multiple time zones
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate key insights into strategy and communicate key drivers of performance
**Desirable for the role**
- Experience with pricing and market access in several types of emerging markets
- Project management skills with the ability to lead, plan and drive the execution of business strategy and tactics
- Commercial experience in emerging markets including understanding of various healthcare systems and Regulatory, Access & Medical aspects of pharmaceutical industry
- Health economics knowledge or detailed understanding of model adaptation and use
