**THE ROLE**:
The EUCAN Oncology Market Access & Pricing director is an instrumental position within the European Oncology Business Unit and Global Oncology Market Access and Pricing (OMAP) teams. The role will report to the Head of Europe & Canada Oncology Market Access & Pricing and will be based in Zug, Switzerland.
This role will be accountable for driving the Market Access & Pricing strategy across the Region for the respective oncology Franchises, in close collaboration with Global Oncology Market Access and Pricing (OMAP). The role will be driving Market Access and Pricing solutions to ensure that tangible, compelling payer offerings are aligned to strategy, that they satisfy all AZ legal & compliance requirements, and that deliverables reflect the necessary innovation and creativity to be best-in-class in meeting the challenges of a rapidly evolving European payer landscape.
The individual will support the countries in EUCAN with market access and pricing knowledge and expertise in Oncology and will ensure execution of OMAP strategies while providing support, challenge and solutions to overcome local implementation hurdles. The role will develop strong collaborations with key internal stakeholders, e.g. Global Market Access, Global Pricing Implementation (GPI), Global Policy and Governmental Affairs and establish deep relationships with in-market Market Access and Pricing leads.
**YOUR MAIN** ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS**:
- You are leading the implementation and execution of the global market access and pricing strategy in Oncology Europe for your assigned Franchise and products in collaboration with Regional Franchise Heads and OMAP.
- You lead P&R readiness in the markets for the best in class launches and protect value of the Franchises through robust pricing and access Life Cycle Management (LCM) in close partnership with the OBU country heads and market access leads
- You drive cross-functional development of local innovative value strategies for your assigned Franchise and lead key differentiating initiatives at the European level that will support the value-based approach with payers
- You help building and shaping capabilities in the markets to drive state of the art Pricing and Reimbursement strategies and above brand activities
- You leverage and share best practices across key markets in Europe. You initiate and drive key workshops to support the countries in the delivery and execution of Global Oncology Market Access, Pricing and IVS strategy.
- You ensure Franchise specific Market Access and Pricing assumptions are integrated into financial planning cycles.
- You represent the regional Market Access perspectives to cross functional teams, ensuring that OBU EUCAN market access and pricing priorities are appropriately considered, visible and supported.
- You monitor and understand implications on market access of key trends in health care systems in Oncology. You generate insights from competitive landscape in Europe and integrate into key market access and pricing discussions.
- You support oncology priorities on EU Cancer agenda and contribute to key milestones in shaping cancer policy in Europe.
**YOUR EDUCATION** & EXPERIENCE**
- University degree in economy or biomedical sciences with minimum 8 years of relevant Market Access/Payer experience in pipeline and marketed products
- Strong Oncology expertise and previous track record in developing and executing on innovative value and access strategies and other novel payer solutions.
- Payer, HTA, public health, or health policy experience and understanding of key European healthcare systems and key payer current and future trends in Europe.
- Experience in a commercial strategy function and/or customer facing with payers
- Strong Oncology expertise and track record of key market access deliveries (e.g. pre-launch / launch / HTA validation / LoE)
