Role responsibilities include:
1) Report directly to the Finance Director for Services and Digital Business and partner with the Fluence’s Digital Business for financial analysis, financial management, accounting support and FP&A:

- a. Review monthly actuals on both contracts and overhead
- b. Explain month over month variances

c. Explain monthly variance against the budget
- d. Work with business leaders and accounting teams to properly review coding of revenues items (prepaid vs. earned revenues) and cost items (Cost of Goods vs. Overhead) etc.

e. Support the process of capitalization of internal labor for the development of software products and ensure proper depreciation overtime.

f. Perform headcount reporting
- g. Perform revenues recognition calculation
- h. Manage monthly order intake, accruals, and revenue classification reporting with respective finance and accounting business partners

2) Collaborate with Fluence Digital Business leaders to prepare presentations to the executive teams containing the following information:

- a. Order Entry for the previous periods
- b. Actual costs, year-to-date financial results, financial forecast for the full year
- c. Headcount reporting
- d. Review of the operations and contracts management as needed

3) Support Fluence Digital Business leaders with vendor contracting onboarding, management, and payment processes.
- 4) Support the Fluence Digital Business commercial team in reviewing main financial and commercial terms of customers’ contracts
- 5) Support the Fluence Digital Business commercial team with invoicing and receivable collection process
- 6) Collaborate with the Fluence Digital Finance Director and the Fluence Digital Business leaders to prepare the yearly budget.

7) Special projects and additional financial analysis. Support Fluence Digital Finance Director and the Fluence Digital Business leaders as new/ad-hoc projects may require across the business and across Fluence.

8) Actively engage with external advisor for the financial and administrative management of the Swiss and Italian branches

1) Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working in finance or business administration roles. Energy industry knowledge and experience with SaaS or Software companies are preferred but not required.

2) Demonstrated ability on financial modelling, general accounting knowledge, familiarity with contract commercial terms, experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) processes.

3) Demonstrated knowledge of US Gaap Standards and IFRS with emphasis on local requirements. (Switzerland and Italy).

4) Capability to manage the financial performance of organizational unit(s) to keep it on track with budget and other defined goals.
- 5) Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, business administration or equivalent training.
- 6) Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point is required
