Postdoctoral Research Scientist, Biotechnology (18 months)
**Work Location**: Satigny (Geneva), Switzerland
This position requires technical expertise in the field of biotechnology and, particularly, in microbiology, biochemistry/molecular biology and analytical techniques for small molecules.
Key responsibilities
Perform laboratory experiments in biochemistry, molecular biology and biocatalysis using conventional and high-throughput tools.
Perform small molecule analyses, in particular using GC-MS.
Work in collaboration with colleagues in an interdisciplinary research team.
Record all data in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) with interpretation of results.
Present research results in departmental seminars as well as in written reports.
Adhere to the company’s safety standards.
**We value**:
PhD in (bio)chemistry, biotechnology, or related field with practical experience in the production of small molecules, for example terpenes.
Hands-on experience of basic organic chemistry or biocatalysis, analytical techniques for small molecules desired.
Passion for science and innovation.
Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Curious, open-minded with excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English, proficiency in French is a plus.
