**Integrated Product Team Leader for Early Assets Oncology (M/F/d)**

The early IPTL acts as the single leader of the asset or cluster of assets, leading the Integrated Product Team (IPT) in setting the vision, strategic direction and ensuring implementation of a singular strategy across diverse functional groups in line with the overall portfolio strategy, with accountability from Pre-IND through decision to enter pivotal study.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The primary responsibilities of this role, Integrated Product Team Leader (IPTL) Early Assets Oncology, are to:

- Leads the global development of a program or cluster of programs in line with portfolio strategy
- Drives program strategy, vision and purpose to develop a high value product
- Continuously evaluates product strategy and implements adjustments as needed
- Vested with far-reaching program-related decision powers, and is responsible for the financial steering of program budget(s) as allocated by the SPC
- Drives strategic and quality decision making together with the cross functional IPT
- Is responsible for generating and shaping an innovative product profile and driving decision making by creating outcome scenarios at data inflection points
- Is accountable for successful program planning, lean and fast execution
- Represents the IPT to the highest management level within Bayer
- Actively participates in an IPT cross R&D and TA communities to exchange and leverage collective experiences and knowledge to accelerate programs
- Acts as a mentor and coach for IPT members, other IPTLs, as well as critical functions building a strong community focused on delivering value to patients, payers, and the company
- Is responsible for composing, shaping and maintaining a motivated and high performing IPT. Holds team members accountability for their deliverables (influencing functions without authority to ensure optimal resourcing and effectiveness)
- Ensures appropriate consultation of sounding boards and experts (internal & external) whenever deemed technically, operationally, and/or strategically necessary
- Ability to run high profile and time dependent, cross organizational initiatives and taskforces

**WHO YOU ARE**
- MD or MBA and/or pharmD, PhD with long term relevant professional and academic experience; of which several years of experience should be related to drug development in Oncology or rare diseases
- Fluency in English is essential. Command of a second major European language, ideally German;

- Ability to drive/influence decision making across all levels of the organization, strong stakeholder management capabilities as well as strong network outside of Bayer (i.e. across Pharma & Academia);
- Excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills as well as experience at leading organizations and people through change;
- Experience in managing cross functional global teams;
- Deep understanding of preclinical and translational research and early clinical development in the respective area and proven experience in drug discovery in respective research area and modality;
- Experience in managing budgets i.e., global program budgets;
- Self-assured and is comfortable defending positions with high level management and external collaborators;
