**Context**:
In the context of growing humanitarian needs, the ICRC launched its Resource Mobilization Strategy 2020-2030 to guide fundraising efforts over the course of the current decade. This strategy is underpinned by the Movement-wide Principles for Resource Mobilization, adopted at the 2017 Council of Delegates, which articulate a vision in which resource mobilization within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement becomes more than the sum of individual efforts by different Movement components. Fundraising efforts at the ICRC are geared towards making this vision a reality, adopting a central guiding principle that ‘what is good for the Movement, is good for the ICRC’. The ICRC is committed to working together with Movement components (National Societies and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent) to make this vision a reality and maximize our individual and collective potential.

A Strategy Implementation Planning process is guiding this evolution to deliver increasing income for the ICRC and the other Movement components with which it actively collaborates on Private Sector Engagement (PSE).

**Purpose**:
Working at REM Regional level, this management position will be central to the growth of private sector income in the Eurasia Region. The role will lead and develop the PSE team for the Eurasia Region, with the objective to build and sustain a growing range of strong funding collaborations, primarily with and through Movement partners, which progressively increase the ICRC and wider Movement’s engagement with and income from the private sector.

**Relationships**:

- Internally: leads the REM PSE team in the Eurasia Region; interacts in a “networked approach” with the REM Eurasia Region, the PSE and Movement Centers of Expertise (CoE), relevant PSE colleagues in other geographies, the REM division and the ICRC at large, especially EurasiaEurasia regional Operations, Movement, and Communications colleagues.
- Externally: engages with senior leaders within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, especially those focused on private sector engagement; also engages with key private sector stakeholders / supporters and relevant networks within the region.

**Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities**:
The Private Sector Resource Mobilization Lead, Eurasia is accountable for the growth and sustainability of private sector income in the Eurasia Region, managing the PSE team in the region and working in a matrix approach with the wider REM Eurasia Region and the PSE and Movement Centres of Expertise.

**General accountabilities**
- Leads the development, implementation and monitoring of a Regional PSE Plan of Action and associated resourcing plan, in alignment with institutional and divisional RM targets.
- Leads the negotiation of (sometimes complex) funding collaborations with Movement and private sector counterparts, seeking to understand their ambitions, interests and requirements and developing mutually-beneficial collaborations.
- Leads the identification and qualification of new supporters / partners in the region, often leading the first engagement and conversion steps.
- Actively seeks to collaborate with relevant services within and outside of the REM Division, interacting with them through a networked approach

**Managing supporter / partner experience**
- Centralizes data and intelligence pertaining to the Private Sector in the Region; market trends, competitor intelligence, associated income stream needs, and shares it with the CoE (when relevant)
- In close collaboration with the Private Sector Engagement CoE, adapts the account management strategy
- Oversees the accounts roadmap planning and development
- Identifies and tracks risks, developing and sharing mitigation measures with the Regional Head of REM Operations Eurasia.
- Oversees the monitoring of the delivery of value propositions across the donor journey and fundraising channels

**Managing fundraising propositions**
- Identifies and commissions the development of narratives, content and products, which align with and / or complement those of Movement partners, to expand the Movement’s offering to and revenue from private sector sources.
- With the PSE CoE and in close coordination with Engagement Solutions teams, participates in assessing the performance of fundraising products.

**Securing Income**
- Steers the development of joint plans of action with Account Managers to pursue direct and indirect fundraising for their income stream, segment and region.
- Leads the development of fundraising campaigns within the region.
- Oversees the analysis of investment and campaign performance across channels, markets and income streams.
