Accounts Payable Accountant

**Role & Function**

Maintain the integrity of accounting information and proper recording of financial transactions. In charge of processing invoices and travel expenses reports, recording the company’s short-term debts and preparing payments owed to suppliers and other creditors. Support the timely and accurate monthly/quarterly closing and periodic reporting for submission to HQ in Stockholm. Participate to accounting and reporting improvement projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency of finance processes

**Key Responsibilities**
- Check, verify and ensure accurate processing of invoices and travel expenses/credit card reports
- Monitor the approval of invoices to ensure payments as per agreed terms with suppliers
- Follow-up and support the employees for timely submission of their travel expense reports
- Responsible for payment preparation and bank/cash accounts reconciliation
- Manage communication with the suppliers and other departments for accounts payable related matters
- Maintain and update the accounts payable database
- Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
- Support in the preparation and booking of accruals.
- Assist in closing activities
- Assist in in enforcing ICS processes and company’s policies
- Participate actively to all current day-to-day general accounting activities and upcoming improvement initiatives

**Qualifications**

**Education / Learning Experience / Work Experience**
- Accounting Degree (certification would be a plus)
- At least 4-5 years of relevant working experience within international groups of companies
- Exposure within Pharma, Life Science, Biotech industries would be a plus
- Involvement in ERP or accounting projects (systems implementation, optimization, migration, etc.) would be a plus

**Skills / Knowledge / Languages**
- Knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and IFRS
- Good skills with ERP systems
- Adaptability to fast-changing environment
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a member of a team
- Engaged to deliver quality in a transparent and open atmosphere
- Good verbal and written communication in English and German. French would be a plus
