dnata Switzerland AG is a service company at the airport of Zurich and Geneva and is part of the world-renowned Emirates Group. It offers a comprehensive range of airline and cargo handling services. dnata Switzerland AG has a total of over 1’200 employees in Switzerland. It operates over 35’000 flights a year for more than 100 airlines from all over the world, handling over 7 million passengers and almost 85’000 tons of freight a year. In addition, dnata welcomes its valued passengers to the marhaba lounges at Zurich and Geneva airports.

To strengthen our cargo operations in Switzerland, we are looking for a service-minded, customer-oriented leader with a clear emphasis on quality, to start as of 1st April 2025 or by agreement:

Head of Air Cargo Services Switzerland 80-100%

As the Head of Air Cargo Services, you will be responsible for the successful design, development and delivery of dnata Switzerland’s air cargo processes, products, and services in full compliance with dnata’s internal business goals, strategies and budget guidelines. You will play a key role in optimizing resources and processes, driving digitalization and state-of-the-art technologies, as well as identifying and developing new revenue streams. You will collaborate closely with operational and commercial leaders at both local and group levels:

  • Lead and develop the cargo services portfolio in compliance with financial guidelines, customer requirements and regulatory standards (FOCA, FOCBS, CEIV, GDP, etc.)
  • Management, coordination, and successful delivery of the new dnata Logistics Center (dLC) “Rächtenwisen”, going live early 2027
  • Develop new products and revenue streams
  • Integrate and implement innovative technologies to automate manual processes
  • Key Account Management for major clients and maintaining strong relationships with airport authorities and business partners
  • Ensure premium service quality in line with defined KPIs
  • Contribute to the strategic development and business growth of dnata Switzerland

Your profil

  • Excellent knowledge and proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of the air cargo value chain and related processes, incl. airport handling operations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to create and implement structures and processes that ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on innovation
  • Self-awareness and maturity to reflect on one's actions and behavior with a solution-driven personality
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead by example
  • Fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage
