Named Account Executive

In your key role as Logistics Specialist at mageba, you will orchestrate all the logistical aspects of our processes effectively and efficiently, from stock management to final delivery on site. Working closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams, you ensure optimal route planning, compliance with international customs regulations, and proactive resolution of logistics issues to ensure smooth and timely operations. Your aim is to ensure transparent and reliable logistics management, thereby optimising costs, minimising delays, and fully satisfying customers' needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Organising and planning shipments of goods, considering lead times, quantities, and destinations, while optimising routes and modes of transport to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishments in line with operational requirements and management, ensuring that the necessary quantities of products are available to meet needs.
- Working with forwarders and logistics service providers to organise national and international transport, ensuring delivery times are met and resolving any logistical challenges.
- Handling the documentation required for international shipments, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs declarations, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.
- Tracking and tracing shipments in transit, communicating regularly with carriers to ensure goods arrive safely and on time.
- Handling goods returns, coordinating collections and any replacements required with requesters.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and proposing solutions to the management to optimise operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the quality of the logistics services provided.
- Communicating effectively with the various internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, forwarders, partners, and team members, to ensure smooth coordination of logistics activities.
Your Profile
- Vocational education as a Foreign Trade Specialist, commercial training with specialisation in general transportation, at least 2 – 3 years of professional experience in a comparable function.
- German Fluent / English B2 (other languages an advantage).
- Solid understanding of the basic principles of logistics (stock management, transport, warehousing, and route planning).
- Understanding of customs regulations and import/export requirements, standards, and quality in different countries. International experience an add-on.
- You are an organisation talent, communicate effectively to meet deadlines, ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
- Proven adaptability, analytical skills, and stress resistance rounds your profile.
- Using specialist software (ERP, Logistics, Stocks, Flows) effectively; basic experience with financial tools such as L/Cs, VAT basic knowledge is a very good asset.
