Job Description:

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have?

  • An advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in any of the following fields: Social and Behavioral Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Education, Communication, Public Relations or another relevant technical field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Social Development Programme Planning, SBC, Public Advocacy, or another related area.
  • Experience working in polio or other outbreak response activities such as Measles, Ebola, COVID-19 at the field level, is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in emergency contexts and humanitarian response would be considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French and English are required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

Remarks:

UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
