You’ll be responsible for delivering and evolving enterprise-strength database services that power mission-critical applications like Avaloq and e-Banking. This is a key role at the intersection of leadership, engineering, and innovation — driving both on-premises excellence and cloud transformation.What Would Your Role Be?Lead a team of database engineers both technically and organizationallyEnsure provisioning of stable, secure, high-performing and cost-efficient database services based on Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL ServerDrive the transformation of database services to Azure and Oracle CloudLead the introduction and integration of PostgreSQL into our platform portfolioCollaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams for seamless operationsContinuously improve service quality and engineering standardsWhat Are We Looking For?Bachelor’s degree or higher in Technology, Engineering, or a related field5+ years as a Senior Database Engineer in complex enterprise environments2+ years in a team lead or lead engineer role for critical database platformsStrong expertise in Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server technologiesDeep understanding of HA/DR, backup/restore, performance tuning and troubleshooting practices for enterprise-strength database servicesProficiency in scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, SQL)Solid understanding of underlying Linux and/or Windows operating system environmentsWhat do we offer?Opportunities for professional growth within an open and innovative environment of a leading Swiss financial institutionA collaborative team culture within a safe and inclusive environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits tailored to your needsModern working environment at a prime Zurich location close to the lakeWe are looking for talented and motivated people, not just a CV that ticks all the boxes.
