Business Manager – Fixed‑term (6 months) Being part of HSBC in Switzerland, you’ll help evolve and grow our business. The Business Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and strategic alignment within the Private Banking division in Switzerland. This position serves as a critical bridge between the Front Office, IT, COO and other functions of the bank, focusing on incident management, process improvements, control execution, and the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you What you will do Support the Front Office in their daily tasks. Help to prioritize, identify bottlenecks, issues and resolve them. Become a trusted and objective advisor to the business. Support the successful implementation of key growth projects, strategic initiatives and oversight reviews. Facilitate clear and effective communication between the Front Office, IT and other Functions. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives. In this role you will Coordinate and communicate effectively between various teams, functions and markets. Use strong judgement capabilities in providing general business management support. Display strong interpersonal skills and confident negotiation. Think forward and find solutions to emerging matters. Act as the primary gatekeeper for all incoming requests, assessing and prioritising demand based on team capacity and strategic objectives. Take responsibility for tasks assigned and ensure they are performed to the highest standard. Drive and own projects and initiatives. Operate in an ever‑changing and stringent regulatory environment. You should apply if you have Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring clear coordination across departments. Highly structured, organised and pro‑active personality with the ability to work under pressure in a matrix environment. Independent, pro‑active and flexible way of working. Discretion in handling sensitive information. Strong business knowledge and orientation. Experience supporting projects and change‑management initiatives. Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and risk mitigation. Previous experience in Business Management or Control/Risk Management will be an advantage. Strong knowledge of Private Banking processes and local regulations. Preferred BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, IT or related field. Proficiency in MS Office. English fluency, written and spoken; French knowledge would be a plus. Due to immigration restrictions in Switzerland, only Swiss or EU citizens or holders of a valid Swiss work permit will be considered.
