Asset Servicing Manager

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast-paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Asset Wealth Management line of business.

As an Asset Servicing Manager within our Core Operations team, you will ensure that Corporate Actions, Income, Proxy Voting, and Class Actions activities are carried out accurately, controlled, and timely. You will impact our business from end to end, being involved in all steps of the transaction lifecycle. Your role is crucial to the success of our operations, covering new initiatives, vendor management, and collaborating with counterparts across various business lines, technology, finance, and corporate functions.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage and supervise a team of 5 onshore employees.
  2. Conduct oversight responsibilities of Asset Servicing offshore teams in Mumbai and Manila.
  3. Deliver Excellent Service: You are accountable for the execution, delivery, oversight, and control of operations services.
  4. Acquire and develop talent, manage performance reviews, plan and allocate resources, and build an inclusive and collaborative culture.
  5. Escalate and Remediate Complex Issues: You will be working collaboratively and practically with Business, Technology, Compliance, and other operational partners to ensure timely remediation and escalation of risks and exceptions.
  6. Operate in a Controlled Environment: You will ensure exceptional controls and framework are in place within accountable team/s and will use data-led information to pre-empt and address risks in responsible functions.
  7. Promote and Encourage Innovation: You will create a culture of accountability and innovation. You will support and steer the team/s to continually encourage process improvements ensuring scalability, high service levels, and minimization of manual touch points.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. 7+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Proven track record in managing teams, ideally within an operational environment.
  3. Ability to adapt, guide, and support others through changing environments.
  4. Mindset for continuous improvement in processes and controls.
  5. Effective communicator, keen to collaborate and build reliable partnerships, especially between onshore and offshore locations.
  6. Ability to make informed choices that support the business and clients in a risk-averse manner.
  7. Strong strategic planning skills and attention to detail.
  8. Accountability and ownership of issues.
  9. Strong analytical skills with a client-driven focus.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure well-thought-out decisions that can be executed from an operations perspective.
  2. Comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, and informed risk-taking.
  3. Background in Asset Servicing operations.
