Your Mission You will be the driving force behind our business development, project acquisition and marketing activities for all the BU fields of interest, with a sharper focus on Nano‑Scale Technologies, Material Science and Additive Manufacturing. You will engage and expand our client base and be their voice within the BU. You will have the opportunity to work across the whole organization, interact and cooperate with other BUs and Central functions, thus ensuring a cohesive and effective strategy is implemented. Your Responsibilities Project Acquisition: build and expand a sustainable long‑term project acquisition pipeline. A balanced mix of industrial and publicly funded portfolio. Operations: develop and foster strategic networks with the research/academic partners as well as within the industry. Responsible for revenue acquisition and growth. Strategy and Operations: contribute to our BU strategy, mission and vision. Marketing & Sales Leadership: analyze market opportunities, build compelling value propositions, manage the sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and be the face of CSEM in forging new partnerships. Communication Excellence: align and communicate strategic focuses across the organization and external platforms, embodying CSEM's vision and goals. Project Involvement and Research: provide crucial inputs for technology development, mentor strategic projects, and help shape BU technology leadership. Your Profile Know‑how PhD degree in a relevant field together with a track record in applied science and technology research activities. Technology & Science: multi‑years of hands‑on knowledge in the following domains: Nano‑scale technologies (surface functionalization, formulation of nanodispersion, coatings, nanostructuration and nanofabrication), Sensing (electro‑chemistry, functional grafting and printing), Material Science (metallurgy, micro‑structures, analytical techniques and reliability), Additive Manufacturing (3D printing technologies – metal, polymeric, composites, pre‑ and post‑processing). Markets and Applications: knowledge of sensing, environmental monitoring, functional thin films and coatings for aeronautics, space, watchmaking and bio‑/med‑tech, and collateral markets with an established network of industrial and institutional entities. Customer relationship management tools, and social media. Proven experience in setting‑up, acquiring and managing sizable public funded projects – EU, SNF, Innosuisse and the like. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role in an industrial context or equivalent. Strong Analytical and Communication Skills: be outstanding in analytical thinking, communication, and presentation skills. Innovative and Collaborative Mindset: have creative thinking, stress resilience, and a natural ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. Language Proficiency: fluency in English and French, proficiency in another language as a plus.
