Oxyle is a multi-award winning Swiss based cleantech start-up founded in 2020. Our mission is to protect the health of our precious bodies of water by eliminating discharge of persistent and toxic micropollutants like PFAS, pesticides, hormones, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals at their source, using our efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable water treatment technology. Our game-changing solution completely degrades organic contaminants from wastewater without filtering, absorbing, or generating secondary waste and will revolutionize the wastewater treatment sector.

The opportunity

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be a driving force in expanding Oxyle’s market presence and fueling its long-term growth. You will identify, develop, and manage partnerships and business opportunities that align with Oxyle’s vision. You will collaborate across teams, build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, and develop initiatives supporting the company’s goals and values.

This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on protecting our waters against Forever Chemicals and to participate in the fast growth of new technology in a rapidly expanding market.

Your key responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Market Analysis

  1. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth.
  2. Support implementing business development strategies that align with Oxyle’s goals and market dynamics.

Partner Engagement & Lead-to-customer Management

  1. Drive customer engagement by screening inbound leads, engaging with and converting prospective clients, and ensuring seamless customer management.
  2. Identify, capture, and maintain relationships with partners and industry leaders to expand Oxyle’s market presence.
  3. Represent Oxyle at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote brand awareness, increase Oxyle’s network and generate new business opportunities.

Project & Opportunity Management

  1. Collaborate with internal teams (technical, marketing, applications, and operations) to develop tailored strategies for potential and existing clients.
  2. Prepare and present business cases, proposals, and strategic reports to senior management.
  3. Develop and manage the end-to-end business development process, from lead generation to deal closure.

Requirements

What you need to bring to the role

  1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Sciences, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in business development or technical sales, in B2B environments.
  3. Proven track record in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  4. Experience in water treatment, chemicals, utilities, sustainability industries, or advanced manufacturing is a plus.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  7. Relationship builder who thrives on collaboration with diverse stakeholders and can balance competing objectives.
  8. Business proficiency in German and English.
  9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  10. Have a Swiss working permit or be eligible to work in Switzerland.
  11. Passion about sustainability and innovative technologies.
  12. Interest in water treatment systems, waste management processes, recycling, or sustainability initiatives is a plus.
  13. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.
