Description

  1. Assist, set up and maintain statutory records including minutes of directors and shareholders meetings, trustee resolutions.
  2. Complete day to day bookkeeping for companies and trusts up to trial balance.
  3. Assist, then with experience and training become competent in liaison with bankers over remittance of money, deposit accounts and investment transactions.
  4. Open trust and company bank accounts.
  5. Liaise with brokers over investment transactions and settlement instructions.
  6. Assist and after training have a working knowledge of the formation of limited companies and setting up of new trusts.
  7. Liaise with clients and associates by telephone and written correspondence.
  8. Be aware of compliance procedures and ensure that all documentation regarding client review is provided to client reviewers in a timely manner.
  9. Acquire a good working knowledge of the computer system and post relevant information as required.
  10. Ensure proper completion of all aspects under the internal timekeeping system (PlainSail).
  11. Ensure that all office and departmental procedures are adhered to.
  12. Any other relevant duties as requested by your manager.

  5. Review all work before handover to the line manager.
  6. Assist other colleagues within the team or another team when they are in need of support.
  7. Work on building expertise and attend agreed relevant courses to improve technical knowledge and to undertake and attain a relevant qualification.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  1. Commercial apprenticeship or Bachelor in Business, Finance, Education, Accounting, Paralegal, Administration, Computer Science, Business/Administration, Economics, Law.
  2. No previous experience in the finance industry is required for this role.
  3. Competent IT skills and proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Ability to develop effective relationships at all levels.
  6. Effective organisational and planning skills.
  7. Accuracy and attention to detail.
