A role you will love

As one of our Application Support Team Leads, you will work within the Global support team whose aim is to Partner with the business to ensure they can meet the demands of their clients and markets through their use of technology.

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the Application Support team performs effective triaging and resolving of software support issues, often coordinating the involvement of multiple technology teams, including infrastructure and development services.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the application support team providing resolution of application issues for users, partnering with the business stakeholders and other technology support teams as required.
  • Act as an escalation point for situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the Application Support team, development teams and other stakeholders.
  • Manage individual and team performance and progress to meet objectives through goal setting, regular feedback, coaching, reward, and recognition and following the appraisal process.
  • Conduct regular reviews of processes, standards, and templates with a view to continuous improvement.

What will you bring to the role?

As this position sits within a technical function, you will need to have experience working in a technology environment with knowledge of various technologies and support experience. You will also need to be able to build great relationships through stakeholder management.

You will be a collaborative person who enjoys leading a team and is able to discuss challenges in a way that helps others to see them, understand them, and work through them.

Some other key skills that you'll have:

  • Experience working in a complex support environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including international stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data and present it in accessible formats.
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodology.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team.
