Lindt & Sprüngli International is looking for a Industrial Performance Manager to join the International Operations team in the company's Headquarter in Kilchberg, Switzerland.

As an Industrial Performance Manager, you will support Lindt Group subsidiaries implement the Lindt Performance Way (LPW): Lindt Operational Excellence Program.

LPW is based on TPM principles, techniques and methodologies for the most efficient utilization of labor, material and capital.


In a specific mid-term focus you will develop and lead initiatives to optimize indirect costs under the guidance of the Corporate Head of Industrial Performance and support and co-drive the Lindt Group subsidiaries to optimize indirect costs by implementing methods from Lindt Performance Way (LPW): Cost Pillar, loss / cost matrix, Focused Improvement Pillar, Planned Maintenance Pillar, Lean Flow Pillar and others.

In this position you will report to the Corporate Head of Industrial Performance. Start could be as soon as possible.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Industrial Engineering reporting / data analysis:
  • Reconciliation of information of local companies. Focus on reporting and data analysis
  • Lindt Performance Way execution and positive impact on business results:
  • Support the implementation of local improvement projects
- triggered by bottlenecks and COGP analysis at Corporate level
- to increase capacity and / or eliminate operational waste in processes

  • Lindt Performance Way Program acceleration:
  • Execute best practices collection, filter, sharing and follow-up of implementation

Specific mid-term focus:

  • Periodical analysis of conversion cost and indirect cost trends (absolute and per ton) from Manufacturing P&L:
  • Identification of drivers for indirect costs
  • Indirect costs split: people Vs. non people
  • Link between drivers and costs
  • Trend analysis of drivers and cost on volumes
  • Periodical prioritization and simulation of conversion cost and indirect cost trends (absolute and per ton), linked with future volume scenarios:
  • Volume scenarios
  • Direct costs target setting
  • Indirect costs target setting
  • Investments and depreciation target setting
  • Link costs losses (VA cost Vs. NVA cost)
  • Target setting on losses reduction (to other pillars and within cost pillar)
  • Management and execution of special projects focused on optimum indirect costs: from maintenance to internal logistics and production warehousing, energy, etc, within local companies and crosscompany
  • Sharing of best practices of optimum indirect cost trend results and activities among Companies
  • Cost variances analysis and control:
  • Variances definition and calculation
  • PCS applied to variances
  • Analysis of variances
  • Standards review and feedback to budgeting process

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Food science or other equivalent scientific background
  • Min. 5 years experience required in a manufacturing environment with exposure to operations, indirect cost optimization and continuous improvement programs
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a computer and with MS office
  • 35 years experience in Chocolate, Confectionary or Food industries preferred
  • Fluent in English written & spoken
  • German (advantage), Italian / French (nice to have)
  • This job requires travel (approx. 50%)
  • Knowledgeable of operations controlling, right costing, cost targeting and cost variances
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of Toyota Production System, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, World Class Operations Management
  • Experienced in leading indirect functions such as maintenance or logistics with track record of KPIs improvement and cost optimization
  • Excellent project management, organization, planning, and analytical problem solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills towards senior and middle management levels
  • Eager to work at the office and on the shop floor
  • Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision and maintain high level of motivation, both alone and in team
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without hierarchy, influence and convince in a decentralized organization
