Oversee the digital content strategy for all IOC public-facing Culture and Heritage social media and web platforms (Olympic Museum, Olympic Studies Centre) and act as Product Owner in the 'build' phase of the new Olympic Museum Integrated Web ecosystem project.


Main responsibilities
Integrated web ecosystem project

  • Act as Product Owner in the 'build' phase of the new Integrated Web ecosystem project (IWE new Olympic Museum website) : Coordinate the OFCH business project team activities and duties based on the product development roadmap; plan and organize design sprints, workshops and meetings; work closely with the IT project manager and the external agency to ensure the endtoend project rollout, implementation and delivery (planned in Q Note that initially this project will be the main priority for the role.
Digital content strategy

  • In close coordination with the Marketing/Promotion and PR/Comms Managers, develop and take forward content strategies for the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Studies Centre digital platforms ensuring alignment with the broader IOC digital strategy
  • Facilitate ongoing content planning and develop editorial calendars, delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage the Olympic Museum's online presence, including website (current and future, after IWE delivery) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok)
  • In collaboration with the curatorial team, make sure that ingalleries and online digital experiences are brought together for a unique and seamless content offer, no matter how, where, or when audiences approach and interact with the museum
  • Lead external digital agencies in charge of content creation and/or community management. Provide them with editorial plans, content and objectives. Oversee day to day content creation, editing and distribution on the different platforms
  • Undertake initiatives to broaden our audience base and to drive traffic, engagement, leads that deliver audience retention, and strengthen the Olympic Museum's and/or the Olympic Studies Centre brand in the digital space
  • Oversee SEO, SEA, as well as digital advertising and other paid media efforts
  • Analyze web traffic metrics, measure the success of the content and incorporate learnings into producing new content
  • Support the Senior Manger D&I in other activities according to the priorities defined by the Service.

Our requirements

  • Strong experience in digital communications and content development (web and social media)
  • Proven project management experience and knowledge of project management tools
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the digital audiences, especially in the cultural world
  • Proven experience in Digital Product Management and/or Digital Product Development, ideally using Agile methodologies
  • Higher education qualification or equivalent (master's/bachelor's degree) in Communications, Marketing or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong digital background with a track record of success
  • Experience working with multiple brands in a complex digital environment
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create meaningful and engaging content
  • Strategic thinking
  • Ability to work with crossfunctional teams to deliver on a common goal.
  • Ability to analyse and present content and social performance
  • Proven record of excellent writing skills in English or French, with excellent command of the other language
